Moqueca Restaurant Grand Opening
Delicious. Amazing. Family Business. Words are not enough to describe Moqueca Restaurant. Family owned and operated using their traditional seafood cuisines, their first restaurant opened in 2008 in Channel Islands Harbor, Oxnard. Now with their grand opening, the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys can enjoy these delights. This is not your typical Brazilian restaurant.
There are no meat carving stations. What makes Moqueca unique and known for is the actual moqueca itself - recipe based on a stew of fish and seafood. They have vegetarian options too. And for all the lobster lovers out there try the lobster moqueca. Yum! Regardless, you won't go wrong. I might be a little biased having represented them on their Thousand Oaks location, but I can say without any doubt that you should drive quickly (ok, safely) to 1610 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard for your lunch or dinner reservations.
You can also visit all the yelp reviews if you don't believe me either. And working with the owners of the restaurant was an absolute pleasure. We started around Summer 2015 looking at several options around the Conejo Valley. Then one space really stood out being visible with the end-cap corner location on Thousand Oaks Boulevard. After some negotiations on business terms, with the help of their trusted real estate broker of course, the lease was finalized. And as anticipated, they were able to open their doors officially on July 2nd. My husband and I had the pleasure of attending their private pre-opening celebration on July 1st and went home full and happy.
We can't wait to return.
